This policy explains what personal data Bromptonic Spots collects, why, and what rights you have. The site is operated by IMAGINIF LTD, registered in England & Wales, 75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. For any privacy question, email info@bromptonic.com.

Who we are

Bromptonic Spots is an independent directory and community for Brompton riders. We are the data controller for the information described below. We are not affiliated with Brompton Bicycle Ltd.

What we collect

• Account & profile data you give us: name, email, city, country, bike model and year, riding styles, languages, social handles, and any profile or bike photo you upload.
• Activity data: login timestamps, and any spots or comments you contribute.
• Messages you send us through the contact or bug-report forms.
• AI assistant questions: the questions you type into our AI tool are logged to help us improve the service. These logs are stored without your name, email or IP address. Any photo you attach to a question is sent to our AI providers to generate an answer and is not stored by us afterwards.

How we use it

• To run your account and show your rider profile (only the fields you choose to make public).
• To send transactional emails (sign-in links, replies to your messages).
• To send occasional community updates — only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand which questions and spots riders want most, so we can improve the directory.

Our legal bases under UK GDPR are your consent (e.g. marketing emails, your profile) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.

Cookies & analytics

We use a single cookie to keep you signed in. For visitor statistics we use Plausible Analytics, which is privacy-friendly, sets no tracking cookies, and does not collect personal data.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We use a small number of trusted providers purely to run the service:

• Linode — hosting.
• Anthropic and OpenAI — to power the AI assistant (your question, and any attached photo, is sent to generate an answer).
• Google — Maps / Places for city look-up, and Gmail for sending transactional email.
• Resend — for community email campaigns.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to a particular use. Email info@bromptonic.com and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete it, we will remove it promptly except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.
